Woodinville Wine Cellars 2013 Sauvignon Blanc, Columbia Valley, $18
By Great Northwest Wine on July 15, 2014
Sean Boyd’s traditional formula for succulent Sauvignon Blanc starts with Artz Vineyard on Red Mountain and Stillwater Creek overlooking Royal City, Wash. He develops it in stainless steel for clean aromas gooseberry, lime zest, sage and sweet herbs. His drink is bright, zesty and lean from start to finish with lemon juice, lime, dried herbs and slate. He suggests pairing this with goat cheese or Penn Cove mussels.
