Los Odios Vineyard, a 15-acre site near Les Collines Vineyard, is planted in 2009 with 13 varieties — three of them are Tablas Creek clone Roussanne, Marsanne and Picpoul Blanc. Those Rhône varieties are blended by Amy Alvarez-Wampfler into this fascinating wine that opens with rich aromas of pear, almonds and toasted oak. It’s not shy on lemony acidity, which arrives early and transitions to a rich midpalate with baked apple, pear and intense baking spices.
