Stellar vintages make everyone happy, including the bargain seeker, who will often see an increase in the quality of wines priced for everyday consumption. Such is the case with this recognizable brand by Precept, and this Cab is perfect for Tuesday night.  Aromas of red currant, raspberry and Van cherry include a pinch of oregano, tobacco leaf and clove. Those carry onto the palate, which is nicely balanced and built in a lighter style, backed by black licorice and toast. This is not built to be cellars, and that lighter tannin structure should pair well with London broil and other lean meats. The success of this brand has lead to Precept sponsoring the House Wine Racing cycling team, which competes throughout the Northwest on the roads and in the mountains.
