Walla Walla native Matt Huse twice graduated from Walla Walla Community College, first in carpentry, and five years later as a winemaker. His dedication to craftsmanship continues to shine with this Syrah that starts with aromas of ripe blackberry, Baker’s chocolate and white pepper. There’s a rich and bold entry with dark plum and blackberry, backed by a tannin structure akin to espresso grind coffee and finished by a veneer of dark chocolate. This took a silver medal at the 2014 Walla Walla Valley Wine Competition, and look for their wines at the Walla Walla Regional Airport as well as in Woodinville’s Warehouse Winery District.
