Sarah Cabot recently joined Precept Wine to head up the Seattle company’s expanding presence in the Willamette Valley, so this marks her sixth and final vintage for the Moore family. The serious pink from young vines near Chehalem Wines’ plantings on Ribbon Ridge offers aromas of cherry jam, Jolly Rancher strawberry candy and Herbes de Provence. They are followed by light notes of cranberry, Montmorency cherry and pink grapefruit, finished with Gala apple skin and presented bone dry. It’s available at Omero’s tasting room in Carlton and will shine with lightly grilled meat, picnic salads or a cheese and fruit plate.
