Five Star Cellars 2010 Sangiovese, Walla Walla Valley, $30
By Great Northwest Wine on August 9, 2014
The Huse family traditionally relies on Blue Mountain, Pepper Bridge and Seven Hills vineyards for their Sangiovese, and the nose hints at red plum, red cherry and rich chocolate. It’s plum and cherry back on the palate that’s big, bold and dark with firm tannins that stretch out the finish. Look for these wines in Walla Walla near the northeast corner of the historic airport district.
