Jones of Washington 2009 Estate Vineyard Merlot, Wahluke Slope, $15
By Great Northwest Wine on August 10, 2014
Best Buy! There’s some barrel age and bottle age on this Merlot by Victor Palencia, yet there’s still plenty of structure. Aromas of cordial cherry, cola, black pepper and Beech-Nut chewing tobacco and baking spices lead to flavors of cherries and boysenberry with sandy and long-lived tannins, backed by notes of cherry wood.
