Winter’s Hill Estate 2013 Pinot Noir Dry Rosé, Dundee Hills, $19
By Great Northwest Wine on August 22, 2014
Delphine Gladhart began her winemaking as a teen in France, and this year marks her 10th anniversary of making wine for the Dundee Hills farming family she married into. The spirit of Burgundy shows with this delightful and refreshing pink from an estate block designated for rose. Fruity aromas of raspberry, strawberry, cranberry and gooseberry lead into dark red fruit flavors of strawberry and dried cherry. Solid acidity makes for a bright finish and perfect with summertime fare. And it’s priced remarkably low for a rose made with Pinot Noir from the Dundee Hills.
