By on August 26, 2014

Rio Vista Wines Antoinie Creek Vineyard Viognier labelJohn Little makes his wines a stone’s throw from the Columbia River along Highway 97 near Chelan, and he’s creating a remarkable tradition with this Rhône variety from nearby Antoine Creek Vineyard. Last year, he grabbed a gold medal from the Washington State Wine Competition. Last Saturday in Wenatchee, he took home best of show at the 2014 North Central Washington Wine Awards with his latest vintage. It features gorgeous and classic aromatics of orange Creamsicle and nutmeg, backed by bright and luscious flavors of grapefruit, orange and apple. And it carries a remarkable amount of acidity for this grape.
