Rob Griffin, who began making wine in Washington during the early days of the Carter administration, released his first Albarino this spring. He reached into Crawford Vineyard near Prosser on Sept. 27 to create a bright, inviting and yummy version that’s loaded with aromas of Golden Delicious apple, lemon/lime, kiwi and melon. On the palate, it’s akin to a dry Pinot Gris with tropical fruit and Honeycrisp apple, finished by lemon juice and lime peel. Enjoy with ceviche.
