Best Buy! White wine specialist Wendy Stuckey does a masterful job with this new, wide-ranging and dry blend of Riesling (39%), Semillon (30%), Gewürztraminer (19%), Viognier (10%) and Chenin Blanc. The Riesling pops up early in the nose, which hints at jasmine green tea, apple blossom, pear, apple, gooseberry and mint. Unexpected acidity bursts onto the palate with Granny Smith apple, Asian pear and lemon/lime flavors, followed by a lick of lavender sorbet and finished with a dusting of white pepper and slate. Atop sits the screwcap enclosure that’s another thumbprint of Stuckey’s touch with this bottling, inspired by the summer concert series.
