Stoller Family Estate 2013 Chardonnay, Dundee Hills, $20
By Great Northwest Wine on September 12, 2014
The reigning Pacific Northwest Winery of the Year for Wine Press Northwest magazine continues to shine as Melissa Burr shows her skill with this exquisite Chardonnay of the Dayton, Ore., estate. It begins with lovely aromas of pineapple, papaya and lychee nut while picking up hints of honeydew melon, pear and apple. The pour brings more tropical flavors with brightness as it finishes dry with notes of white peach, Asian pear and orange zest. There’s no trace of oak, which makes this fun Chardonnay ideal to serve with chicken, white fish, vegetable-based soups and summertime salads.
