Et Fille 2011 Deux Vert Vineyard Viognier, Yamhill-Carlton District, $24
By Great Northwest Wine on October 18, 2014
The father/daughter winemaking tandem of Howard Mozeico and Jessica Mozeico launched their Newberg, Ore., winery in 2003, and they’ve aligned themselves with Mike Green’s vineyard for their crystalline, unoaked Viognier. There’s an elegant dustiness to the stone fruit aromas of white peach, Gala apple, cotton candy and freshly laundered linen note. On the palate, it’s laser-focused with a steady stream of acidity and fruitiness of Asian pear, Granny Smith apple, honeydew melon and fresh-squeezed lemon juice. Indeed, it’s created for fare such as creamy soups, curries or TexMex.
