Indian Creek Winery 2012 Tempranillo, Snake River Valley, $22
By Great Northwest Wine on October 29, 2014
Second-generation vintner Tammy Stowe-McClure and her winemaking husband, Mike, have one of the most loyal followings in the Pacific Northwest, not just Idaho. Their Tempranillo from Skyline Vineyard — the state’s largest site — makes for a delicious red that’s filled with notes of black cherry, mocha and vanilla amid a solid and juicy structure. It earned a silver medal at the 2014 Idaho Wine Competition, so heat up the paella pan.
