Best Buy! This new brand created by Nicolas Quille and Steven Sealock at Pacific Rim Winery near Red Mountain lives up to its name with its focus on nosy varieties such as Chenin Blanc, Muscat, Pinot Gris and Riesling, yet it goes beyond that on the palate. Orange oil, Bosc pear, lemon, starfruit and clove spice aromas gather up refreshing flavors of kiwi, cantaloupe and orchard fruit. While the residual sugar is listed as 2%, the approach is actually medium dry and well balanced with lime acidity and minerality in the finish. Suggested food pairings range from roasted pork and chicken to grilled fish and summertime salads. The striking label comes from the studio of Portland artist Flora Bowley.
