Best Buy! Pete Buffington specializes in inexpensive and aromatic whites at his winery near Silverton, Ore. His latest version of this Germanic variety carries a theme of green tea, caramel, lavender and thyme. It’s perceived as only slightly on the off-dry style at 1.8% residual sugar, thanks to its clean entry and good acidity, making it a friendly quaffer.
