The Bickfords, who are six-generation farmers, create a number of estate wines from their vines in the Mount Hood foothills. This approachable nonvintage blend taps into their Pinot Noir blocks and forms 80 percent of the blend, augmented by Syrah (10%) and Tempranillo from Scorched Earth and Van Horn vineyards. Delicious and fruit-forward aromas of black cherry, Marionberry and blueberry are matched on the palate with a jammy structure that’s capped by balanced acidity, low oak and minimal tannins. It earned a silver medal at the 2014 Columbia Gorge Wine Competition.
