Milbrandt Vineyards 2013 Traditions Chardonnay, Columbia Valley, $13
By Great Northwest Wine on December 23, 2014
Best Buy! There’s remarkable complexity to be found in this deliciously affordable Chardonnay that flashes a flirtation of oak. Aromas of lemon custard, pineapple, banana and papaya funnel into flavors that continue that fresh tropical theme joined by pear and apple. The structure comes backed by midpalate roundness which gets cast into a finish of lemon juice and pleasing citrus pith bitterness. Enjoy serving this with chicken, creamy pasta and seafood.
