Walla Walla’s Wisconsin boys opt for berries and stems when fermenting these lots of Red Heaven (Red Mountain) and StoneTree (Wahluke Slope) vineyards, so there’s not quite the element of hedonism often associated with Dusted Valley wines. Notes of blueberry jam, blackberry, cola, charcuterie and toasted oak lead to a bold drink of pleasing pomegranate acidity with a solid tannin structure, which is finished by a bite of Western serviceberry.
