By Great Northwest Wine on December 26, 2014
In sticking with its theme of blends using Italian varieties, this 2-year-old winery in the Woodinville Warehouse District uses Viognier (50%) off the Mercer Canyons’ Culloden Vineyard with Pinot Gris (13%) from the Mercer Estates’ Brooks Vineyard site, as well as Sauvignon Blanc (19%) and Chardonnay (18%) . The nose hints at pear drizzled with honey, tree-ripened Golden Delicious apple, buttered bread and cardamom. It’s clean and crisp approach with pear, apple and honeydew melon should make this ideal with oysters and worth sipping while enjoying scallops.
