52. Winter’s Hill Estate 2012 Watershed Pinot Noir Dundee Hills, $25

winter's-hill-vineyard-logoDundee Hills winemaker Delphine Gladhart grew up in France and fell in love with Pinot Noir there. This is one of her finest efforts to date. It opens with inviting aromas of blackberry taffy, vanilla cream, black licorice, cherry blossom and brooding moist earth. On the palate, this elegant, silky red offers vibrant berry backed by moderate tannins and nice tension.
