Lumos Wine Co. 2009 Temperance Hill Pinot Noir, Oregon, $34
By Great Northwest Wine on December 28, 2014
Dai Crisp manages this 100-acre Eola-Amity Hills site, which factors into the programs of more than 20 of Oregon’s top Pinot Noir producers — includes his own Lumos Wine Co. Enticing aromas of strawberry, Benton cherry, mocha, cinnamon and cedar pick up a pinch of Italian herbs. The fluid delivers mouth-filling flavors of red currant, raspberry and red plum, backed by a balanced structure that shows finesse and finishes deliciously. These wines are made in Philomath, but they are sold in their McMinnville tasting room.
