White Bluffs Vineyard, near historic Sagemoor Vineyards north of Pasco, Wash., allows the Whitelatch family to produce a wide range of quality wine at approachable prices. Their latest release of Cabernet Sauvignon — harvested Oct. 15 from a cool vintage — speaks to that, starting with scents of blackberry, black currant, plum and a wisp of mesquite smoke. The drink turns reddish purple with rich flavors of Montana huckleberry, red currant jam and President plum. Firm tannins and good acidity give it balance.
