Dana Roberts makes several fruit-based wines for his parents’ coastal operation near Aberdeen, Wash., and his off-dry blend of peach juice with Riesling is reminiscent of a freshly baked peach pie. It also offers aromas of honey, spiced apple and a Piña Colada. While honeyed and syrupy sweet on the entry (12% residual sugar), it’s quickly joined by ample acidity and Asian pear flavor, then finished by a spoonful of peach sundae. At the estate Farm to Fork Restaurant, the staff suggests serving this with the Land Grant Vegetarian Sandwich. And sales of this wine support the Grays Harbor Breast Cancer Alliance.
