Dai Crisp grabs this from the North Block on Temperance Hill in the Eola-Amity Hills, and production didn’t fluctuate from the previous vintage. A reinforcing barrel program develops aromas of molasses and smoked plum with black currant and raspberry. It’s simply beautiful on the palate with black cherry, plum and blackberry flavors, fashioned with a mild tannin structure and finished with a flourish of acidity reminiscent of fresh cranberry and pomegranate. That acid profile and low alcohol bode especially well for the future.
