Most vintages, the Cinsault from McKinley Springs Vineyard adds complexity to several of this Woodinville winery’s blends. However, 2012 proved to be a bounce-back and stunning vintage for much of the Horse Heaven Hills, so here marks Bob Harris’ inaugural release of single-variety Cinsault. Dried strawberry, red currant and cocoa aromas pick up herbal notes of tobacco leaf and green olive. The drink is clean and bright with flavors of ripe red currant, raspberry and pomegranate, backed by moist candela leaf tobacco. It received a silver medal at the 2015 Seattle Wine and Food Experience Wine Awards.
