westport-winery-smoky-norwester-nv-labelCoastal winemaker Dana Roberts blends Sangiovese and Petite Sirah into a stunning, youthful, complex and approachable drink. It opens with aromas of fresh cranberry, raspberry, pomegranate and a hint of buttered toast. There’s a rich entry of plum, black cherry and black raspberry with sandy tannins and juicy acidity, capped by a remarkable cranberry compote finish. Paul,

For his day job at J&S Crushing/Columbia River’s Edge Winery in Mattawa, Wash., Victor Palencia oversees more than 1 million cases in wine production. For Palencia Winery, he makes about 3,000 cases total.
