Woodinville vintner Mike Sharadin considers Cabernet Franc as his favorite grape, and this expression from his fifth commercial vintage continues to show delicious and savory expression. The nose carries pleasing toast with blueberry, milk chocolate, rosemary and porcini mushroom earthiness. Flavors of boysenberry and plum lead to a nice slaty approach of tannin, red currant acidity and sweet herbs in the finish. It received a silver medal at the 2015 Capital Food and Wine Festival Competition in connection with the St. Martin’s University Alumni Association.
