Seattle attorney/vintner Paul Beveridge has such passion for this grape native to Piedmont that in 2011 he represented Washington at the Consorzio di Nebbiolo in Stressa, Italy. The next year, he began working on this from his, which represents just one of the 22 varieties he grows on his 12-acre vineyard near Yakima. Aromas of cocoa, Bing cherry, plum and raspberry lead to flavors of President plum, pomegranate and red cherry. Bright acidity and solid tannins lead to a bold drink. This received a gold medal at the 2015 Seattle Wine and Food Experience Wine Awards.
