By Great Northwest Wine on June 14, 2015
This young stateline winery in the Walla Walla Valley reaches into Crawford Vineyard north of Prosser, Wash., for this enjoyable and quaffable expression of this lesser-known white Rhône grape. The aromas conjured up by Tanya Woodley hint at the neutral French oak aging with notes of fresh bread and coconut, backed by lemongrass, lemon pepper and minerality. There’s a rich and round approach to the palate as flavors of Bartlett pear and Honeycrisp apple offer a delicious and lengthy drink that carries an undertone of baked bread throughout.
