Kyra Wines 2013 Pinot Gris, Columbia Valley, $15
By Great Northwest Wine on June 18, 2015
Best Buy! Moses Lake vintner Kyra Baerlocher has earned a reputation as one of the Northwest’s top producers of Chenin Blanc, and her work with this Pinot Gris is exemplary, too. She takes this along a bright path from start to finish, opening with aromas of starfruit and lime, backed by peach, passionfruit and apple blossom. Inside, it bursts with acidity as flavors of Key lime, Gala apple and lemon juice carry straight into a nectarine finish. Enjoy this with scallops or oysters on the half shell.
