By Great Northwest Wine on June 26, 2015
Last year’s historically warm vintage prompted an August harvest from Columbia Basin sites Sagemoor and Stillwater Creek, and the unoaked winemaking program included concrete fermentation for 30 percent of the lot. Its nose of pear, lemongrass and fennel includes hints of toffee and toast, and the inspiration of Sancerre is realized on the pour. Bright flavors of lemon, baked Gala apple and Brie come with a slice of fresh-cut celery and an abundance of food-friendly acidity. Enjoy with scallops, artichoke dip or grilled asparagus.
