Manson, Wash., winemaker Judy Phelps creates these bubbles in a blanc de noir style using Pinot Noir from across Lake Chelan at Cortelli Vineyard. Aromas of dried Montmorency, Craisins and rhubarb compote include baked apple and a touch of yeastiness. On the palate, it shows notes of baked bread, white strawberry and cantaloupe amid a profile of medium mousse leading to a finish of lemon meringue pie crust. Their wines are available at their tasting rooms in Lake Chelan and Leavenworth, but they also ship to more than 30 states.
