This no-oak, fruit-forward Chardonnay from the Frenchman Hills north of the Wahluke Slope offers pleasing complexity from surlie aging. Tones of McIntosh apple and pear cider are joined by fun hints of cotton candy, apricot, mango and buttered toast. There’s richness on the midpalate, developed by the extended lees contact, before a clean and lengthy finish of Asian pear and Granny Smith apple.
