Walla Walla winemaker John Freeman reaches into some of the region’s top vineyards — including Klipsun and Seven Hills — for this ripe, rich and robust expression of Merlot. The aromas leap out of the glass, leading with raspberry and cherry with mocha, allspice and sandy loam. The flavors follow with dark blue fruit akin to Damson plum and boysenberry with the firm tannins that have become a trademark of Washington Merlot.
