The Gordons proudly proclaims theirs as Washington state’s oldest family-owned winery to work exclusively with their own fruit as brothers Jeff and Bill Gordon first planted their 100-acre vineyard in 1980. They have no problem ripening Cabernet Sauvignon on this site, particularly in 2012, and that shows in aromas of dark plum and poached black cherry leading into vanilla, dark chocolate, espresso, chai spice and wet concrete. It’s harmonious drink as cherries and chocolate swirl in a smooth midpalate, leading to an easy growth of tannins and a lengthy finish.
