One of the Pacific Northwest’s historic and cooler sites for aromatic whites sets the table for this Woodinville winery. In fact, most of the fruit, harvested Oct. 19, comes from a block established in 1975. It was aged on the lees for four months in stainless steel, creating aromas and flavors of dried apricot, orange, ginger and baking spices. It’s a touch off-dry at 1.6% residual sugar, yet there’s ample balance from a splash of sweet lime juice in the finish. The Woodinville tasting room has been closed, but these wines are available at the Browne Family Vineyards and Associated Vintners tasting room in downtown Walla Walla.
