A number of Washington’s largest vineyards — Alder Ridge, Canyon Vineyard Ranch, Goose Ridge and Frenchman Hills — join forces for this blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (59%), Merlot (23%), Syrah (11%) and Malbec. A program of 20% new oak makes for aromas of fresh cherry, plum, pomegranate, earthiness and saddle leather, followed by flavors of dark chocolate, plum, white strawberry and pie cherry. Its juicy approach, light-to-medium tannin profile and savory food-friendly angle is reminiscent of a bigger Pinot Noir from a cooler vintage.
