This boutique winery in Woodinville’s Warehouse District knows Washington’s smallest AVA quite well, and this vintage marked Charlie Auclair’s first foray into the Williams family’s Heart of the Hill Vineyard. Its bold nose of dark plum, blackberry jam and dark chocolate, also offers charred cherry wood, menthol, lilac and lavender. Those flavor profile seems focused on black raspberry and pomegranate, backed by milk chocolate, blueberry skin tannins and vanilla extract. This is priced and built for the cellar.
