Best Buy! The Claar Wine Group in Pasco, Wash., operates this brand, which is named for a 19th century Italian who — as the story goes — helped dig New York subway tunnels, bottled some of his own wine and had a penchant for marking things with red paint. So they’ve used the Italian reference for this grape and created a wine with aromas of sweet orange, fresh apricot and pear butter that lead to clean flavors of nectarine, pears and starfruit. Suggested pairings include Shrimp Scampi Tuscano.
