Ridge Crest 2013 White Bluffs Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Columbia Valley, $14
By Great Northwest Wine on October 15, 2015
Best Buy! The Claar Wine Group continues to offer one of Washington’s best values in Cabernet Sauvignon, and winemaker Joe Hudon does so using estate fruit farmed along the Columbia River using Salmon-Safe practices. This is a lightly oaked Cab with aromas of red currant, Van cherry, fresh hay and drip coffee. Inside, it features flavors of dark blackberry, black currant and plum, backed by a remarkable mouth feel of flannel-like tannins and a touch of cinnamon spice. This brand comes with a new look and is available in more than 20 states, including the East Coast, as well as Canada, India, Japan and China.
