Finn Hill Winery 2014 Blondie Rosé of Sangiovese, Red Mountain, $20
By Great Northwest Wine on November 4, 2015
Woodinville’s Rob Entrekin released his rosé from famed Ciel du Cheval Vineyard seven months after the Oct. 6 harvest, and it’s drinking beautifully — just in time for Thanksgiving. Created in stainless steel and done dry (0.8%% residual sugar), it begins charming your nose with hints of deep cherry, dried strawberry, Red Haven peach and rose petal. Inside, it’s bright and delicious with Rainier cherry, strawberry freezer jam and a follow through of peach. Cherry skin tannins and raspberry/rhubarb acidity extend the finish. Enjoy with duck, dark turkey meat or Thai fare.
