Rob Entrekin’s path to Woodinville’s warehouse district began in 2008 at his Kirkland, Wash., garage on Finn Hill. Now, he’s going to Red Mountain for fruit to help him win awards and earn acclaim. This superb vintage in Washington allows him to create dense aromas of black cherry, boysenberry and chocolate with licorice in the background. The pour brings bold, complex and plush flavors of Chukar Cherry and dusty plum. Its structure of medium tannins makes for terrific midpalate weight as finishing touches of fig and sarsaparilla give it great length.
