Vizcaya Winery 2014 Pinot Gris, Snake River Valley, $17
By Great Northwest Wine on November 27, 2015
The Hansens, growers for the Idaho wine industry since 2008, opened their tasting room this fall in Kuna, and they had Mike Crowley of Syringa Winery make the Pinot Gris from their Windy Ridge Estate Vineyard in Meridian. This easy-drinking and rich white carries a theme of baked apple, pear and nectarine with a touch of honey and popcorn in the finish. Line this up alongside seafood, pork, poultry, creamy pasta and risotto.
