Bill Stoller grew up on the farm that he’s transitioned into the Dundee Hills’ largest interconnected vineyard at 373 acres, and his reserve Chardonnay program is dedicated to Dijon clones 76, 95 and 96. Barrel fermentation focuses on French oak, only 15% of which is new, developing aromas of vanilla, Golden Delicious apple, lime peel and minerality. There’s an early and persistent arrival of lemon on the palate, backed by Gala apple, steely acidity and Asian pear skin in the finish. Suggested food pairings include New England clam chowder and chicken alfredo.
