Compass Wines shop owner/operator Doug Charles developed this negoçiant brand in collaboration with longtime associate Will Parks, and over the years they’ve worked a number of the Pacific Northwest’s top winemakers and prime vineyards on these wines. In complying with tradition, the Cutlass Cab features winemaker Scott Greer and Sheridan Vineyard in the Rattlesnake Hills region of the Yakima Valley. A wisp of alder smoke leads to a broader nose of plums, black currant, blueberry jam, milk chocolate and allspice. There’s bright red cherry flavors up front, followed by more blueberry jam and black currant. Sandy tannins arrive late to make for a solid finish.
