Treveri Cellars NV Brut Prestige, Columbia Valley, $20
The father-son team of Juergen and Christian Grieb continues to thoughtfully expand its lineup of sparkling wines, and the cépage of the Brut Prestige is a traditional blend of Pinot Noir (60%) and Chardonnay. A fun nose of strawberry-banana, Granny Smith apple, rosewater and fresh warm bread leads to a pleasing realization of those notes on the palate. The mousse is refined and gentle yet persistent, making for delicious bubbles that are full of finesse and fruit.
