Crater View Vineyard on South Stage Road is among the array of sites the Moore family farms throughout Southern Oregon, but it’s closest planting to their brick tasting room inside one of Jacksonville’s most historic buildings – the quaint longtime home of the late Robertson Collins. For this lively Spanish white grape, they took the grapes to Linda Donovan in nearby Medford, who produced a wine that’s spicy and zesty with tones of lemon pepper and allspice with sweet herbs and mustard seed. Fruity flavors of papaya, lime and starfruit finish with lemon curd and peppermint. Enjoy with teriyaki chicken, Fettuccini Alfredo or a cheese plate with Brie, Camembert and chèvre.
