This Olympic Peninsula winery, founded in 1978, continues its focus with non-grape wines with this deliciously dry expression of blueberry. There’s a nose of chocolate-covered dried blueberries, almond extract, earthiness and minerality. On the palate, it’s quite tart – leaning toward pomegranate over blueberry flavors – backed by a touch of dustiness and some Baker’s chocolate. They suggest pairing this dry blueberry bottling with grilled or roasted meats as well as a fruit-and-cheese plate. These wines are available in grocers and retailers throughout Wasington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and several provinces in Canada.
