ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Washington’s oldest and largest winery scored big again at one of the largest judgings on the East Coast.
Chateau Ste. Michelle won a double gold and two gold medals at the 16th annual Finger Lakes International Wine Competition. The judging drew more than 3,800 entries from all 50 states, six Canadian provinces and 26 countries.
Proceeds from the competition benefit Camp Good Days in New York state.
Skylite Cellars in Walla Walla and Goose Ridge Vineyards in Richland also earned two gold medals each. Northwest wineries won nine double gold medals and 15 golds. Overall, Northwest wineries won 136 medals.
